Issues

Inflation

Two groups influence inflation…the government and the Federal Reserve. We must hold both accountable for reducing the value of the US dollar and limiting our purchasing power. Printing bailout money hurts working-class families the most and causes prices to rise on everyday goods and services.

The Fed continues to create economic bubbles without any oversight by Congress. It is time Congress passed legislation to hold the Fed accountable to the people’s representatives.

Taxes

Burdensome taxes hurt our small businesses, working-class families, and cripple our economy. It kills the entrepreneurial spirit that Central Texas was built on. We must simplify the tax code and downsize the IRS to unleash an economic boom that creates millions of jobs, boosts wages, and expands opportunity for all.

Less taxes let YOU decide where to put YOUR money from savings accounts, churches, or other charitable organizations.

Government Spending

A balanced budget should be the baseline and not the exception. U.S. National Debt has climbed from $16.7 trillion in 2013 to $33.2 trillion in 2023. Our government spends like an irresponsible teenager with their parent’s credit card!

Congress must stop this and create a budget that reduces taxes and government spending.

Term Limits

It is time to put an end to “career politicians.” More time in office means more time removed from the people who voted you in and more time around corporate donors and lobbyists. This is bad news for Central Texas and bad news for America.

Citizens are closer to Central Texas’s problems and will take action in Washington. We need to say NO to “career politicians” and allow them to find something better to do.

2nd Amendment

Our entire Bill of Rights is at risk if we allow legislators to weaken our Second Amendment. Our First Amendment can only stand with support from our Second Amendment. As people, we must understand that exercising our rights comes with a responsibility. The promotion of education on safe gun usage and storage is essential to this fundamental right.

I will always protect our right to defend ourselves and preserve our 2nd Amendment rights to the fullest extent.

Education

Parents should be the ultimate authority over their children’s health and education choices. The state doesn’t own your children. Parents should not be forced into accepting radicalized curriculums, unnecessary vaccine or mask requirements, or fitting into the standard box of public education.

Parents and students need flexibility and options regarding K-12 education, and without the political games our government and teachers’ unions play with our children’s lives and well-being.

Supporting our Troops

America must defend our borders and our citizens. The decision to enter war should never be taken lightly and must be done only as the Constitution requires: with a formal declaration from Congress. Over the last few decades, America has wasted millions of dollars and thousands of lives on unchecked, unilateral, never-ending conflicts overseas. This policy also has a lasting effect on disabled Veterans and victims of PTSD.

We must take care of our current Veterans and choose to limit any future collateral damage.

10th Amendment

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively or to the people.

We must not allow the Federal government to continue overreaching on our rights beyond the Constitution. Texans should determine what is right for Texans and not the politicians in Washington.
